Actually, no. I get the paper version. I still have trust issues regarding formatting quality and future continued access to replacement availability when it comes to major-publisher DRM-ed eBooks. And I'm sure the price will eventually come down.
Though I should probably mention that I only ever bother to buy my own copies, physical or otherwise, for a very limited selection of authors whose works I'm willing to pay to own/support. The sum total of my English-language fiction TPB/HC collection acquired since my teens takes up maybe 6 shelves, with room to spare. And that's taking into account both my otherwise collector mentality, and including all the "authors I don't really care about owning but they were cheap on sale". Otherwise, I am quite content to leave it up to the library to carry them for me. I just don't buy books I don't already know something about and I'm not intending to keep unless it's a case of "it looked good on the used/library/remainder sale table and I don't have a time window to check if it's available through other means". |

Most of the time I read ebooks but occaisionally I'll buy a pbook. I find remainder bins irresistable. Why buy an ebook for 10-12 dollars when the remainder is sitting there for 3-5 dollars.

Guess there is two reason I would buy a pbook.
1) book not available as e-book. 2) hardback, for book I really like, too show-off on the library. |

I like the feel, and the smell. I like to see at a glance how far through it I am. I like the fact that it won't wink out. I like having my copy signed. I like the physical act of page turning. |

I actually still buy hardcovers, but they have to be books I really want and plan on keeping after the end of the world and the death of digital devices. Most of these are signed/personalized too if I get lucky.
As for paperbacks, I still buy/trade at my local used bookstore. But I mainly will read ebooks |
