My advice--since you asked--would be to borrow them from the local library or from a friend who has all ready finished it.

The books are quite large, and take up a huge amount of real estate.
Thankfully, I have a friend who buys books more often than I do, and was able to steal his copies.

Truly, the price of electronic texts is just....ridiculous.

This is one case where you will be paying a premium to not need to lug a giant, though entertaining, trio of books around.

The tie-breaker should be the maps. If you are as ignorant as I am, you will be spending a tremendous amount of time reviewing the included maps, or visiting google maps and wikipedia to cross-reference characters.

If the maps are easy to read and flip back and forth, then buy the electronic copies and save from lugging around an 800 page monster.

I've seen the first two books for under $7 at the Barnes & Noble bargain tables but $25 on Connect for three books isn't a bad price.

Yes, but IS that the price?

Click to buy and the price jumps to approx. $36.

Just to let everyone interested know, they credited my account for the difference when I brought this to their attention. They didn't say whether the price was wrong, or the billing wrong.

They didn't do ANYTHING for me!!!

And I pointed this out to them, as well.

Just to pi$$ them off, I'm going to buy them SEPARATELY, and see how much they like my money!!!

Just joking..
