I'm undecided about getting one, mainly because of shipping and customs charges...I do wish Amazon had made a purple cover, their covers are very well made, but I covet purple (have a steel blue one).
I don't think the hinges will bend unless you really throw it about, they seem very secure to me. |

Check out the Oberon covers. They're beautiful! I have two of them. A blue Roof of Heaven for my K2, and a saddle Da Vinci Nook cover that I modified with a leather stitcher to fit my K3. http://www.oberondesign.com/Kindle3.php http://www.oberondesign.com/shop/car...duct_list&c=81 (page 1 of 3) Last edited by WT Sharpe; 09-12-2010 at 09:38 AM. |

Initially thte K2 cover did not have a strap indeed, but I think they had a lot of issues with returned kindles etc, that they did adopt an elastic strap which holds the case together. I do think the new K3 cover also has a strap which holds the case together.
The Oberon covers are nice, but definitely pricey. Also consider some of the sleeves found in www.etsy.com. They are priced very reasonably and look nice too. Quote:

It probably won't take as long as that. I have bought an Oberon cover for my DXG and a Large Journal as a gift for a friend, and both took only about 10 days to get to the Netherlands. The 25 days is probably for shipping to Outer Mongolia or Antarctica or something

Well, I really don't mind the wait. I had to wait 6 weeks for my Kindle + amazoncover (hm) as well.
As the Kindlecover is very good and more than adequate, I felt a bit foolish for my second thoughts on Oberon; ordered and went for the cheap, slow way. |

I'm telling you they are addictive!!! I have the blue roof of heaven on my K1, the wine celtic hounds on my K2, the wine horses running as a journal (that may have been discontinued, haven't seen it since) and I custom ordered the River Garden in Red as a portfolio cover. they were very pleasant and helpful about that. as I recall it added 2 days and 5 bucks to my order

I really like these but can anyone recommend a light that can be used with these covers?
