Hi,

Did you Kindle ship with a power adapter, or did you have to pay extra?

It seems international Kindles ship without a power adapter, which I think is unfair, especially since US power adapters work here in Brazil. I know it's just $5, but it should be free.

I got my from Amazon UK and, as Ben has kindly already posted, it did come with the plug.

That's the UK version, which can only be bought by UK people.


The US version will ship with a US adapter. Europeans have to pay extra if they want a "normal" () adapter... So, if you use the US system in Brasil, you don't need to buy anything extra.

I'm confused why people at Kindleboards would have a hard time believing a UK delivery. I expect mine within 4 hours, not that I'm obsessively counting that down or anything. With the time difference of course UK will start getting them into their hands before the US. That's just the way the Globe works.
