Question CF Bug

Will the annoying "CF card not recognized" bug be fixed in 2.9?

Excellent! Say, just out of curiousity... Do you know if there's a power difference between a CF card and an MMC(SD) one? Since there's not much of a practical size limitation on CF cards, they really seem to be the way to go for bulk storage, but I've been wondering if they suck more power.

Thanks for keeping us informed, Matthijs. I've really liked each of the new releases since I got my iLiad with OS 2.5, and I'm sure looking forward to this one. Things really seem to be settling in nicely, and I'm finding that I get better and better at making my iLiad work with my life.

No. The 'early march release' is already lucky for us.

Could somebody add more question marks to the title of this topic, please?

Not much left of February, I hope the iRex guys are still aiming for it.

To tell you the truth, I would prefer monthly updates instead of quarterly updates. (Last time was early december, wasn't it?)
In this pace of development we will not reach "full" power management before the guarantee of my device expires.
Come on, give us power management NOW or prolong the expiry of the warranty for my unit with 6 month.

Thank you!

You may wish to ask on the Irex Forum, rather than on here...

What does the warranty have to do with power management and features?

First you tell me: what power management has to do with features? I didn't mention features in my post. Switch on/off and use in an instant is a minimal requirement with a handheld device!

I know, I know, you disagree. I have strange logic.
