Dante Alighieri, La divina commedia , by heart (trustable), poorly translated by me
In the middle of the path of our life we came back to see the stars. A less literal translation, more adherent to the meaning of the original text, would read In the middle of the path of our life, again we saw the stars. Last edited by beppe; 07-28-2010 at 02:27 AM. |

Do get a study translation with plenty of notes, the thicker you can get, otherwise you will loose most of the juice. I think is the highest thing ever written, even more so then Homer and Shakespeare. Take that back who cares who is stronger. These discussions if it is better to drink malt or cognac are just to let the flavor dissipate before taking an other lively sip. Or if it is better picture taking versus taking notes for future memory.

Just a thought; the sentence structure is different in different languages. I wonder how it could affect this "trick".
It's because I've now tried a larger no. of books in Danish, and no... No good. |

This is a wonderful idea. I hope it says who was Duccio Cavalcanti, or Lapo. That's one of the sweetest episodes. They were his friends.
In Tuscany, in certain places, they still do public reading of it. If it comes out that you like it I will share a little part of the merit. ![]() When little we say Dante Alighieri spacca bicchieri. glasses breaker. |

Spoiler:
It would be nice to have some quetchua member that tries this. (Andine language with 57 consonants, only spoken. To open a business in Lima, Peru you had to pass an exam in the local language, I do not know now. Comma 22 is a children game compared to their ways) In any case your work is very useful. It helps in defining better the likelihood. Once you have that, plus the percentage of tricks (yes or no, regardless by the book being any good), plus the percentage of books (good or nogood, just to make it simple, also regardless of the trick result), I can show you, with the aid of very simple formula, how to obtain the increase of information that the trick gives to a potential buyer. Nothing is certain in presence of Chaos, but as it is the agent of Destiny, it is good to follow the gifts it gives us. Like this trick. It sounds a little like Let it be. |

![]() It is a good piece of information, ![]() but two young lovers sitting on a park bench, ![]() exchanging butterfly kisses, ![]() would not be capable of using it. ![]() It would require to disentangle ![]() and write few notes on a piece of paper. ![]() Back to square one. ![]() Last edited by beppe; 07-29-2010 at 01:02 AM. |
