My student is afraid to change SIM because he has to open it and thus loosing guaranty privileges .. So it is her student to put those funny thoughts in her pretty head. The iPod touch is in her possession.
She let me hold it, rather, she asked me to hold it. It's a marvel of Design!, so thin and elegant. Whow. She has a silicon cover for it, but it is so pleasant to handle thatshe is wondering how to keep it in her purse. Any advice? |

The screen is (if not 100%) then - let's say 97-99% - at a guess - scratch-resistant. Or; I've had my 1st gen Touch for over two years and it's bumped around in a bag with all kinds of scratchy things like keys, and still only have teeny-tiny, millimeter-short, non-noticeable scratches. It is not worth sacrificing clearness and sharpness of the screen to use a screen cover IMHO. There's a reason that most covers you can buy have no screen cover.
On the other hand, it might be a good idea to buy a cover for the body to protect it from falls to the floor etc. And if the backside cover is that high-polished metal finish, it'll collect scratches easily. If it's one of those sturdy silicone covers she has, I'd think it would be fine. |

Thank you so much, I'll pass this along. She is very excited by her new toy. By the way, it is a beautiful object, although it will take a bit of adjusting.
I think her plan is to get the new one when it comes out and giving this to me to substitute my Palm. |

You mean it's your plan, and you are counting on your wife's well-honed mind-reading skills to implant the idea in her mind. |

Tim Tim Tim, ray f the moon. It is the starting line of an old song by Mina. Tintarella di Luna.
It is more or less as I said. She wanted it now, while everybody advised her to wait for the next issue. My self, as a considerate husband, offered her a way out and her iPod in. Wouldn't you do the same? It remains to see if the iPod measures up to my Treao 650 in functionality. For looks and size, iPod wins with hands lowered down, but for calendar, database, contacts and battery cycle we still have to see. Her use of calendar and data base is quite different than mine. It is nice of you of pinching me. I appreciate it. ![]() |
