i stand by my words. calibres over whiting the cache on the ereader did the same as hiting delete. it made the content invisible to the end user.
as i said calibres new found inability to play nice with the use of other programmes too makes it unusable to me. after it doing it no less than 4 times i gave up and went back to an old version. have you actually tried it yourself, create some sets with sonys ereader library and see how well calibre plays nice |

Due to a hitch not being detected during beta testing, during a short window of time, if a book didn't have a tag associated with it then the book would not end up in a collection. If the book had 9 tags associated with it then it would end up in 9 collections either way the book would still be listed under books by title, books by author or books by date. Quote:

A word to the wise for anyone else reading this thread, using two software packages to manage your books is never a good idea. If you're happy with the Sony software then by all means use that software, but to keep stating inaccuracies like Quote:

harp on? it you who is clutching at straws saying noo it didnt delete anything just removed everything see thats not the same thing.
at the time i originally posted on the issue there was no fix and it was being touted as a calibre knows better than you end user, its a feature not a bug so get used to it. god whats with the hostility and confrontational nature? i wasnt saying calibre is shit just that that new feature (which has supposedly been removed) made it unusable for me. im i not allowed to say i dont like something? |
