I have that too! But more often. Especially when I've reached the 3/4th point of the book, I tend to find it hard to continue my other book...

I usually read two or three books from different genres, I often did since school days: some scf, some horror, and some non-fiction, for example. Or historical combined with the other two. I like to read one or another depending on my mood along the day, or the time that I have to read.
I read a lot in bus stops and similar sites, so often I read some minutes there, some minutes here...

I'm normally reading 2 books and listening to a third during my commute. Occassionally I'll listen to a 4th while working, but that is normally one I've already listened to and it is just on to drown out the noise around me.

I wish I could read a smaller number at once. Very usual for me to have one fiction and two to three non-fictions at once.

I read anywhere from 2-6 at a time, but I wish I didn't. There's something about kicking around one author's view of the world and nothing else that deepens my understanding of whatever I'm reading. Unfortunately, that all goes out the window when I do more than 1 book at a time. Depth is sacrificed for the thrill of engaging my mind in the next interesting topic that crosses my path. : (

I do on occasion. I keep a few small books in my purse (yeah, it's a big purse) in case I find myself bookless somewhere with unexpected time on my hands. Occasionally, if I'm heading out the door and the current book I'm reading is almost done, I'll just grab the next one from the unread shelf instead of risking being bookless after finishing the current book (especially if I'm feeling too lazy to just grab both books). Sometimes, I'll interrupt a book if I get another book I've been waiting for. Usually, though, I have just one book going at a time.

Oh, maybe this feature is already available....

But it would be nice if you could "lock" your eReader to only display a certain book until you have finished reading it (=flipped thru all pages I guess?).

Environment beats discipline every time.

Usually I'll switch back and forth between several books (lately mostly non-fiction) depending on what i'm in the mood for unless it's a book I just can't put down - then i won't sleep or eat (except for chocolate of course) until i've finished it.

I regularly read 2-3 fiction books at a time, more if they are of different genres or far enough apart in genre. Nonfiction, I usually max out at three, unless I require more books for reference. I seem to absorb the information fine at this rate and have no trouble keeping the individual books separate in my mind.

Between fiction books, non-fiction books, long articles, and blogs, I have ~10 bookmarks in my reader at the moment.

Multiple books at a time. I generally have a couple of non fiction and a couple of fiction actively being read. Then there are other books where I start the book but find that I'm just not in the mood for that particular book at that time, and come back to it later.

I like having some lighter reading, when i'm reading a long book.
