It's still greyed out. Maybe it doesn't work with PDF files?

I have a feeling the 2.5 features are greyed because my Kindle (US) is unregistered. I'm abroad and can't access the wireless functions. Any hints?

Unregistered? Can't you go to the manage your kindle page @ amazon and put in your Kindle ID number and register it that way?

It works with PDFs. It also works with MP3s.

No. You only can register via Whispernet.
You manually can add a reginfo file, but that's not perfect either.

Do you know if it will activate the Create Collections feature in v2.5? And BTW, how do you install the reginfo?

Haven't tried yet, whether it's activating the 2.5 features. I fear it doesn't, but it's worth a shot.
