Might looking into renting the Hilton or such to accommodate the growing family. Food no problems - we are uniquely equipped to take care of that. Extra money will be welcome as we seem to go through clothes rather fast though.

Have you packed yet? Don't bring too much, we can fit you out with new gear here. Australia is very welcoming to new arrivals as long as you come via boat.
If you come to Brisbane by boat. This is where you will stay...

Don't have to pack. The kids will probably find suitcases and clothes ( and toys, and PSPs, and gameboys, and wallets, and...) on the trip over there.

Um. You don't live near a police station do you mom?

Of course we do - we need protection from all those evil people that envy our lifestyle. Trust me - the police is our friend.

Take a big boat - I heard the QUEII is currently free. Taking a boat makes it soooo much easier. We won't have to worry about the health care for the kiddies - they are bound to hurt themselves with all the running.

I know that the police are our friends. They always want us to come in for a little "talk".

If we come to visit (just for a few years) do you have a back door that the police can't see very well?

Another problem with taking a boat is that the children may do just that. If you know what I mean.

We may just have to, um, stay in the Australia backcountry so the police don't get excited. Yeah, that's what we'll do.

See you soon, mom.

Oh , don't you worry about the police. They do come around quite often and stay for a chat and a beer. And a sausage or two. They are our friends and happily take the findings away we don't need nor want.

And the boat - I don't think it will be missed. It's not that new anymore and I heard the pensioners have moved on to the Queen Mary now. We might even get a reward if we 'loose' the boat for them. So saddle up and bring the family over here.

So if the "children" can find a shed to put their "found stuff" in, you can tell the police not to bother looking in there?

OK, we're gona move in with you again mom. Get enough beer for a few weeks so we can party. And get something for yourself too.

The police would never bother looking in my sheds. They know just to take the bags I leave at the front door.

As for beer - plenty in the brewery up the road so we won't run out. It's important to make friends in the right places.

And thanks for thinking of me - will get something for myself too.

Don't worry if the coast guard shows up to take you to the mainland - all as it is supposed to be. Nothing bad will happen. They have organised some nice accommodation for you and the kiddies. If you want to know more about the accommodation, see sneakysnakes link. Seems she is getting excited about you coming over too.

Hmmmm. Asylum seekers.

I think that what we need is just a little "global cooling" where we live right now. Katti's Cat house will be great until the heat is off us back in the states.

And I bet that the little hoodl..., umm, little children will be able to find her some ereaders as a sign of thanks.

Hay mom, can you have a few more bathrooms installed for us?

You are of course welcome with the little ... uhm kiddies at my place. But try to consider the asylum way - just because you ask for it doesn't mean you have to stay. You can always go back home once it has cooled down. And the perks. Trust me, my house - albeit open for you and yours - is not anywhere as nice as the place they have for those seaking asylum.

But, just in case you want to stay with Mom - I better start digging the backyard for the extra bathrooms. 5 should do, shouldn't they? Or are you so much more hoity toity that you need to use them more than once a week?

I'm with you - no partitions. Sharing is the one thing I try and teach all of mine. And they are getting real good at sharing with others - just not sure how much I should insist on 'sharing goes both ways'.

STOP THE PRESSES!

I wanted instant gratification. Drive up to Delaware. Get a Sony 600. Go home.

I've changed my mind. I've ordered a black PocketBook 302, $339.99. The white one in on sale now, $319.99, but I think that black will be more forgiving.

OK, mom. It will be safe to leave your 600 laying around (at least from me, but don't thrust the little bas... I mean be careful that the little children don't, ummm, borrow it).
