Thank you for your graciousness Steven!!

I hope that you did not find my comments about the curly quotes as being too much nit picking? I know the problem could have gone unnoticed for a while since only some rendering software picked the wrong code page, but I just thought that it might be helpful to find out the cause now rather than later? Anyway, I wish you the best of luck in your writing career!!!

It is a Art. Just like story telling.

And it is not as simple as it seems
The Mechanics of the process are simple.
Making a pleasing output is the hard part. Now toss in the different display sizes into the muddle. One size does NOT fit all.
Your book looked pretty good on a Computer monitor, but I wanted to reduce the margins for viewing on my 5" display, which already has plastic margins

BTW I learned from your Book, that you can use a percentage for indent rather than just a fixed amount. 2% (vs the original 4%) gave me the feel of an indent, leaving more room for words on the line.

Dear Steven:

I KNOW we are all grateful for the novel and happy to be reading it.

This group on MobileRead Forum will constantly find things they think or know could be fixed.

ALL: Steven did note to me that what he had was a decent job on the conversion to EPUB and he thought a final version, more polished, would be forthcoming. I think what Steven did was wonderful and I am so happy to see others are reading the novel and making recommendations. However, let us be grateful to have the fine novel now and look forward to other novels in this marvelous saga!!

Dear Duckey:

If you can post bulletpoints on how someone can set the indent... then I will copy it and put it in the FAQ sheet for all to enjoy!

I am always looking for discoveries by experts like you that will improve the FAQ sheet!

This is really a EPUB stylesheet (css) edit exercise and not specific to Astak products

I would say, use Sigil, except we found that Sigil will fix badly defined attributes.

Another: not simple facet is there is not a single or constant place to do the changes. And not all places should be changed

You peek at section (source view) you want to look different.
You find the controlling style for that and you tweak that part of the css

Code:
<<<<< are my emphasis and not part of the code

@namespace h "http://www.w3.org/1999/xhtml";
.Section {
    border-bottom: 0;
    border-top: 0;
    display: block;
    margin-bottom: 0.5em;
    margin-top: 0.5em;
    padding-bottom: 0;
    padding-top: 0
    }
.calibre {
    display: block;
    font-size: 1em;
    margin-bottom: 0;
    margin-left: 2pt;      <<<<<<<
    margin-right: 16pt;  <<<<<<<
    margin-top: 0;
    page-break-before: always
    }
.calibre10 {
    border-bottom: 0;
    border-top: 0;
    display: block;
    line-height: 110%;
    margin-bottom: 0.5em;
    margin-left: 0;
    margin-right: 0;
    margin-top: 0.5em;
    padding-bottom: 0;
    padding-top: 0;
    text-align: justify;
    text-indent: 1.5em   <<<<<
    }
(very simplified explanation)

The actual sections and values may change from document to document.
To be valid a style section definition must exist in either the css or the document. before it is used in the document.
Hope this does not confuse.

More independant authors eBooks coming!

Dear All:

We finally got up the free download for Steven Lake's first novel in the Earthfleet Saga. But that is only the start. We are in the process of getting up Steven's other novels also... including subsequent releases of the Saga. Steven Lake can be a steady source of reading pleasure for you!

We are hard at work on going after more independent authors and publishers. It looks like a series of novels by Albert Dell'apa will be next up. The Renegade Intern (Astak eBook Specialist) is doing an interview with Albert now and as soon as she is done we will try posting up his titles.

I hope you all will support www.EZread.com by becoming a free member and maybe buying an eBook or five. We think getting some really good independent novels on our website makes us more intriquing and more worth your while. And... as others have said on this forum... the prices are low to lowest on this site and there are many unique features already on it or coming soon that continue to distinguish www.EZread.com as the perfect choice for eBooks!!

TDA2 is coming. It's in the process of being completed. But my publisher just got done moving to a larger office, so he's a bit behind on finishing certain things. I'm looking for TDA2 to have a July shelf date at this point, which is a month later than I had planned.

And yes, I'd love to have so many people demanding my books that I was chained to a desk. That'd be fun.
