Also to remember here is the marketing strategies of our partners aka Telecom Firms. It depends a lot on them when they want to hit the markets. We have seen different strategies for different players. Some want to give you Adam for Thanksgiving, some for summer holidays, some when you start a new year at your schools. So, it depends." |

Uhm weren't some rumors saying Adam would have also Windows 7 installed? Like two versions... one with Android and one with Seven (which just recently has released Adobe Flash player for this O.S.)...?
Or were those rumors wrong?... At least what are latest news about Android's Flash development?... |

Ah right! Ubuntu was said by Notion Ink as alternative to Android...so as you know the Flash player isn't already present on linux to release the device on the market?...
So at least on Ubuntu I can install for example an application very similar to Adobe Reader to read well PDFs like Foxit Reader which exists a version for linux.. |

I think the important part of the quote from the Notion Ink blog is, "As soon as the stable Flash is there, there will be two months of testing and we will hit the stores."
How long will that take? One month? Two months? Three months? After they get stable Flash for Android it will still be two months (of testing) before it becomes available. Adobe is saying ( http://forums.adobe.com/message/2579416 -- post #38 -- dated just seven days ago) that "Flash Player 10.1 is still on target for general availability in 1H 2010 on Android." I don't know what 1H means. Is that the same as Q1 or Q2? Of course Adobe was saying in Feb, 2009 that Flash for Android would be available in "early 2010". Then in Nov they were saying the "first half of 2010". Then there is this report ( http://www.brighthand.com/default.as...rry+Palm+webOS ) that says, "...the public will be able to download Flash Player 10.1 onto their current devices during the first half of the year," but it won't be available on devices "with this software pre-installed" until "..the second half of the year." (I know they are talking specifically about phones here but it seems logical to me that once porting it to phones is finished, porting it to large screen devices would be quick and simple. 'Course I'm not a programmer so maybe I'm wrong.) Since Notion Ink has stated they won't release Adam until it includes stable Flash and two months of testing, and Adobe's spokesperson says those OEM's won't get it until Q3, it seems that the earliest Adam could hit the market would be sometime in September. Luigino said, "Uhm weren't some rumors saying Adam would have also Windows 7 installed? Like two versions... one with Android and one with Seven (which just recently has released Adobe Flash player for this O.S.)...?" I never heard those rumors. There will be two versions but they are one with the Pixel Qi screen and one with a regular LCD screen. That also concerns me because I'm afraid the Pixel Qi model will be the premium one which, at the estimated $800 price, would put it out of my price range.
