Ditto, except I use Kindle for PC on my Sony U750P 5" PC. Bought in late 2004, but it's like it was made for Kindle for PC. The screen rotates to portrait, making its form factor similar to today's 5" e-readers, though a bit heavier, thicker, and longer. Touchscreen, so page turns can be simple finger touches, and PC-instant. I get up to 5 hours with a new extended battery and wi-fi off.

Great also for quickly perusing Calibre magazines and newspapers, because of its instant page turns. And to reduce eyestrain from backlit LCDs, Calibre allows you to change the background and text colors via simple CSS edits to more pleasing, muted colors.

I got K1 as a gift from my husband. Then a year later, I ordered a K1 for him, but we received the K2 instead. This Christmas we bought one for our son in law.

I've bought three K1s: One for me, one for my husband, and one for my sister.

Refurbished K1 - returned

K2i - still have
KDX - sold locally when I found out the DXi was coming out
KDXi - impatiently waiting!
I might have a problem.....

Well, you still only have two. That's not too bad.

Wow that's quite a bit of kindle turnover you had there.

I've bought 4:

first K1: the day they became available, for me
second K1: gift for my boyfriend
third K1: gift for my mom
K2: upgrade for me, sold my K1 to my mom to give to my brother as a gift

Considering a DX, but I'm really happy with the K2 as is, and often use the iphone app (on my Touch), heavily utilizing whispersync to maintain reading page between devices.

Does Pre-Ordering the DXi count? If so 1

Seriously after reading this thread i am sure my family can expect nice gifts over the next few month and my creditcard card company will have to rise my limit ASAP *g*
