The alternative is NOT to invert the screen between page refreshes. The consequence of not doing so is that traces of text from previous pages slowly build up on the screen - this is called "ghosting".

When B&H gets the 900 in stock, you can order it and have it shipped outside the USA.

True I can have it shipped, however it is a large device, and I think someone said that it will not work via 3G outside the US, meaing fro me the only imporvment being the screen quailty

I have been looking some more at ebook readers and it had just come to a to up between the pcoket book 301+ and sony prs-600, when I heard about all these other readers that sound good, the Jinkie A6, Alex, TXTR reader, and of course the possiblity of the prs-900. So I think I might very relutancy wait for about 3-6 months and see what happens about UK aviablity and the reviews of these new devices

On a slightly diffrnet note, I went to a couple of sony stores yesterday, and have to say I was disapponited with the amount of reflection on both the pocket and the touch, I think this could have just been their lights, but even on the pocket had to anglt it carefully so that no lights were reflecting on it. Is this commonor just the particualr king of lighting they use in the Sony stores?

The "spot" lighting they often have in shops is pretty bad for reading any sort of screen.

Thanks Thats good to know, actually overnight I have lost most of my resolve to wait, and might just go and get the 600 and in a year or so have a look about getting one with 3G, as I expect that their will be imporvments coming out constantly for ebbok readers over the next few years

They always fetch good 2nd-hand prices, so you might just as well. You can do a lot of reading in 6 months .

Thanks Harry
couple of questions
1) On the sony devices, can you organize music, and is there any word on when sub collections for books will be aviable if ever?
2) Do you have to pay import Tax on eReaders (boox 60)?

for the colections I would quite like to orangise by auther then series, however I suppose you could name the collection auther and sereies, but you might have quite a lot of collections.
I do notice that the boox 60 has folders and breadcrumbs, as well as a higher quality screen due to the wacom touch. However no cover with light, can use fingur and have to import.

My 300 shows very little (if any) glare/reflection in everyday usage at home and in daylight. Certainly not more than any other reader and definitely less than some.
