I purchased the Roof of Heaven cover and just moved one of the stitched on velcro strips a bit after I taped (packaging tape) the plastic back to the edge where the Sony "cover" attaches. If you want more information, please let me know.

I know what you mean! I've been wanting to tear off the soft cover from week 1.
