It's now the 20th of December. ANYONE get a shipping notice?

Received another notice....date pushed back to 12/24. Also, language changed from "ship date" to "release date" fwiw.

Do we think Sony shipped them to the US via ship or air? What happens if they don't even have them in the stores for Xmas?? I'm thinking about what opportunities we will see for President's Day sales.

My ship date didnt change but I did get a FedEx delivery from Sony today. It was a $10 ebook store gift card to with a notecard that basically thanks me for being one of the first to order.The gift card is a token of their thanks. It also says that my reader daily will arrive soon.

Anyone else received this??

Wow. You received an ebook gift card with a promise of future delivery of the device itself. Greatest. Tease. Ever.

I'm anxious to see if they're going to sell this thing in Canada. So far, nothing.

I got a shipment notice earlier today. Looks like the first batch is a bit larger than Sony let on.

Not for sale, but most if not all should have a demo PRS900 on display. I played with one of the demos yesterday.

Thanks. I will compare it to the 505 this weekend. I wonder how long I'll have to wait if I decide on the PRS900. Hopefully not too long.

The site says 1/15/2010 ship date for new orders. Stores are expecting stock between the 8th and 15th as well when I was talking to the employee. I don't know if it was related to the fact that I had a pre-order that I cancelled, and then re-ordered, but I got into the first shipping batch with an order placed yesterday.

Compared to the 505, it depends on what you are looking to get over the 505. The screen on the 900 is identical to the 600's, just taller and with more shades of grey (16 vs 8). And so the 505 still wins here in clarity.

Everywhere else, the 600/900 beat the 505 handily (UI, speed, features).

Yes, I got one too. In fact, that's what was wrapped and under the tree for me for Christmas. Honey Bunch said that she got a shipping notice on the 22nd as well.
