I know that the PP (or PEZ) is the hot new item, but I was wondering if the clock feature would also be in a new V3 firmware update for the 6" EZ Reader as well?

Would it persist in all reader software, as i predominatly use mobi files, having it on FBRedaer wouldn't really help me all too much?

This one is very good.
A while back I created an "This is better than Astak T T S" sample and then found that I could not post it because of AT&T imposed restrictions.
I guess they do not want word of mouth (text) advertising.

(The spaces in TTS are needed to pronounce as Initials)

That would make it better but what they have is better than nothing. However, one solution would be to provide support for natural voices and you can go out and buy what you want to add. Many solutions provide this option for users. There are even a few free natural voices available. Read our wiki on TTS

Will putting a clock on the device reduce battery life, as it will constantly be updating a section of the screen? How would this update?

It would if it updated continuously. Generally the implementation is to only update when you change pages. That is the way it works on the coolreader screen on the V3 (FB2 option). I suspect that is what they will do. It probably won't replace your watch.

The RTC on the V3 that I have does have pretty poor long term accuracy, but the RTC on the V5 that I have is quite a bit better. Still not watch accuracy though.

Dear all:

Yes, I have heard from the factory that the Visable Clock will update when you turn the page. It will not replace your wrist watch; but it will be very accurate when you are actively reading.

I told them this would be sufficient for now. I just want to get what you have asked for done. My understanding is that the main reason for the clock is regarding borrowing library books and this will work fine for that!
