well, i'm technically a domesticated tiger, so i might not be the most authentic example for her report, but i'll see what i can come up with.

Did you ever notice how, when you are typing something quickly, both your hands and your brain type something completely different than want you actually intended? And it's on those occasions that you don't go back and reread before you post or run spell check. In post #32, I typed the word hand instead of ahead. I've since corrected it, but what's up with that?!?!?

actually that happens to me all the time. it's like my fingers know the words without my brain having to tell them what to type, so if they start with the wrong letter for the word i *meant* to type, they'll just keep going with some completely different and unrelated word since they know what comes after that first letter...

Well. . .uh. . .it took you and Lady Blue to point out what should have been obvious to me! Here I was just concerned about using an incorrect word considering I teach English and all, but you two found the true underlying reason for my mix-up!!

But I, for one, am so proficient/afflicted in/with those syndromes/maladies that methinks a DAY is hardly long enough.
