Hope I'll get a miracle too!

My PRS-600 is delivered today, and died today. Now, I have the usual home screen with an unusual exclamation mark in the middle of the screen, and "Restarting..." below, and, of course, blinking yellow light (once per second).
I tried: holding reset button (even more than a minute), pushing power button a few times, holding "<" and volume+ (more than two minutes). Nothing happened.
Connected to the computer via USB. Nothing happens, either on the computer or on the reader.
Only, I did not have a wall-charger (would small plug of iphone work?) but the reader is of full charge now.
Should I find a psp double cable? Is it not a usb cable in the end? I didn't get it, really.
I'd appreciate if anyone can help me.
Thanks

Actually, what you should do is return the 600 and get a 650. The 650 is so much better then the 600. The touch is excellent and the difference in the screens are night and day. The Pearl minus the touch layer just makes all the difference.

Well mine is jammed on the enter page no section nothing will work and also its just over a year old.

I have had it jam in various user situations and have spent many hours trying all the buttons in every kind of sequence I have always got it back before but not this time.

The way i feel at the moment the simple answer seems to be bin it, buy a Kindle and ban all future Sony products.

By the way what is a psp double cable and where can you get one that is the one thing I have not tried yet.

Has anyone any thoughts on how many books to keep on it, does it get worse if you have lots of data loaded?

Also I use a 8gb SD card to carry about 200 books. Does it help to remove the SD card when you have a jam?

Any thoughts anyone?

Jeff

My Sony 600 also went dead suddenly and when I hooked it up to my computer, the computer wouldn't recognize it (and the cord is fine with another device). Since early February, the PRS 600 screen is locked with the USB symbol saying it's connected even though it isn't. I contacted Sony support Feb. 14, 28, 3/2, 3/7, 3/9, 3/15, 3/18, 3/?, and again today. Each time they say they are going to do something for me, and they never have. All I get is someone offshore sweetly promising to help but not doing anything. Does anyone know how to get in touch with Sony customer relations? I'd like to express my disappointment since I have been such a Sony supporter over the years. Apparently, no one cares. BTW, I have since purchased Nook Color and am happy with it. Oh, I did try the reset button several times. Thanks.
