Thanks, it's cheaper that the german one. Unfortunately according to the site:

Free delivery outside of the UK

Products eligible
DVD, music, games, books, and clothing are eligible. Unfortunately, we cannot delivery electronics, personal computers, gadgets, or mobile outside of the UK.
So I think they wont ship it outside the UK.

I think you'll encounter that at a lot of stores. So much for one Europe if you can't even order a device from another country...

One of the three sites mgmueller posted also won't ship it to other countries, couldn't find anything about it on the other two though. But then, my German isn't the best

Ok just ordered my 505 today.

For those interested in this device here is how it shows epub books: https://www.mobileread.com/forums/album.php?albumid=248 (thank you Julliete for the photos)

The one I'm getting comes with a brown case. I usually see them in a silver one. Does this mean it's an older model or something? Or doesn't mean anything in special?

Because of the obscene prices the stores are making I had to order it from ebay.

If you go for the standard cover, its color depends on the readers color. Silver reader has brown cover, blue reader has black cover and so on.

One more question:

Does Caliber convert book to the Sony format?
say for example I have a book in Lit or Epub, can I convert it to Sony format for optimal reading?

Simple and to the point thanks.
I suppose sony's format is the best format to read on the 505.
The problem with justified text with epub will disappear if I convert to sony format right?

If the books are drm'd you have to remove the drm before converting with calibre.

If you are getting the 505 , I'd recommend the armor cover for it, since if you are shipping it overseas you might not be covered under warranty. I have dropped the 505 a few times already, on concrete floors and hard floors from 3 feet and the armor case really does protect it. Don't do the DVD tin because there is NO padding and it's like dropping a hand mirror placed in a dvd tin from 3 or 4 feet in air, of course it's gonna crack, but all the padding in addition to hard case and zipped case protects it. If you do search, these ereaders have GLASS screens, so THINK GLASS and dropping a hand mirror from 3 feet and you get the idea. You need padding and hard case , both, and zipper protects from sand, dirt, fluids better than left open so ARMOR CASE IT.

Because I have a iPhone I'm familiar with the glass screens and all the cares you have to have with this devices. But accidents happen...

I bought it from a UK seller so I suppose it has European warranty.
But I'll check those covers out, thanks for the advice.
Although I see myself using the ebook safely inside my house or in a cafe, not walking around in the street where I could drop it.

For those interested, here is how my PRS-505 shows the same book page in the various formats supported, I used Caliber for conversion. I took the pictures to help me decide and finally went with the LRF format.

By order of appearance, TXT, RTF, LRF and EPUB;

Edit: Ups! Just noticed a couple of "sensitive" words in the text, hope that's not a problem it's a Christopher Moore Book.
