Two Corollas and a Chevrolet Express, the butt of which you can see be loaded on my page.

I don't like either of them. I'm waiting for an EV.

The Mitsubishi IMiEV and the Smart look like good contenders as first high volume available EV in Europe.
I'd like them both but I need the small Ford Transit Connect Electric promised for 2011.

I was hoping for BMW to come up with an E-Car soon, but they seem to focus their EV-activities on the Mini. That Ford looks great

It's available as a gas guzzler in the UK.

On my last iteration the choice was between a Mini Cooper and an Opal Astra (Saturn branded in the US). I chose the Opal because similarly outfitted it was $10,000 less and the quality was comparable. Also the Opal handles better than the Mini, side skid plate measurement is .87G as opposed to .85G for the Mini.

I have to admit though, the Mini is cuter! I think it's the British retro styling! And I love those rally stripes!

so cool beans!!
I was going to type that I wished I lived in france and england to be able to walk around this ginormous gallery, but i realized I live in one too just never pay attention. I am going to start taking pics of the art in nyc. I have seen swoon's work randomly in brooklyn, and then she/he had her own section in the MoMa ( modern museum of art).

I did hear about Le rat but I never knew much about him till now. It is safe to say that banksy probably took his concept and ran with it.

Alot of the art here is done by kids with huge permanent markers with a typical style..

Is graffiti illegal in France like it is here?
but the government here takes it overboard.

This used to be my car:

together with this:

But then the company I worked for moved to a completely different part of town, where the public transport wasn't that well represented. The choice at that time was to go by public transport (bike, then train, then bus) and take about 90 minutes from home to work or get a drivers licence and a car and takea bout 30 minutes from home to work. So, I did the latter...

And got me a nice Toyota Yaris (see the attachment)

And when we moved to our current house a few years back, we decided to get a second car, so we got an old Toyota Starlet from 1991

Minis are expensive, but they depreciate much more slowly than most other small cars, so their actual "lifetime cost" is pretty low. Eg, my last Mini I bought for £12,500, owned for three years, and then sold for £8,500, so over the three years I owned it it only actually cost me £4,000, or £1,333 a year, which I think personally is pretty good!

As it turns out, it's a good thing I went with the Opal. My wife's handicapped ramp van broke, and I had to haul her wheelchair around for a month and a half. If I had bought the Mini, I don't think it would have fit in the back so I'd have had to rent a bigger car. It fit quite well in the Opal.

Her van's been repaired now, but when I priced rental costs for a ramp van I was looking at a couple of thousand USD for the six weeks.

It would probably have fitted with the rear seats folded down. You get a surprising amount of space that way.

Currently have a Fiat Coupe 20 value turbo and a Suzuki Grand Vitara 3 door. The Fiat I have had for 10 years and is about to go. That is go as in I am getting rid of it. It has been a blast to drive but I can't justify having 2 cars with just me these days and I need the towing capability of the Suzuki.

That's not my actual Fiat but it is the same colour and model.

Suzuki is the basic one in silver (anmd never seems to get dirty lol)

I'd love to live in a place where we didn't need a car. Public transportation in the desert here is lousy. Which is probably one of the reasons our air quality in Phoenix is equally lousy. Here's a pic of a car like mine. I have a used BMW X5. USED being the key word here...we could NEVER afford new.
