Both, of course ... the great thing about being an adult is there's no-one to say you have to choose

ok, this whole thread is really grossing me out. Imagining the texture of bread (ick uck nasty) combined with some things I previously like.... but not grossing me out enough to forego breakfast! it's after 10 and I'm famished!

How do you not like bread? So many different kinds.

What do you eat in place of?

yes, I should adjust my statement. I do like certain kinds of bread, like french bread. but the kinds of bread I like must be smothered in sauce or stew or something, and be firmer type of breads. I strongly dislike sandwich bread and anything with a soft squishy texture. I hate cake too.

But I *love* brownies, esp the crispier ends! Mmmm and Chocolate chip cookies!

I don't actually find the need to eat much bread at all. I rarely do, unless it's toast, or a toasted sandwich.

I like cheese and chutney sandwiches.

I also like devon and tomato sauce sandwiches (as long as you're careful, else the Bristol Channel and La Manche make the bread go soggy).

The accidental discovery that Prawn Cocktail and Peanut Butter is a combination that works well is from my families traditions of marrying crisps (and chips in both senses of the word) and bread products. I was aiming for ready salted but missed.

Happy Coincidence!

hang on - crisps be thin slices of potato ....
chips be chunks of potato deep fried in oil.

(culture difference - we'll get there eventually )

After eating yesterday's leftover room temp pizza for breakfast, this thread really makes me nauseous. But if I'm ever pregnant, I'll dig it up and tell you what I think of your sandwiches...

I did this a lot in my college years -- chips in a sandwich of deviled ham. It added a bit more texture to the deviled ham.
