Really? I always find you to be quite perspicacious.

Yes men's pockets are usually bigger than women pockets, I know my pockets are much larger than my wife's jeans.

Okay, you've convinced me! Just please don't forget and sit down on it. The thought just give me the willies. Thanks for going out of your way to take the pic and post it!

I had the 505, but returned it for a Kindle 2. I've been very, very happy with my decision. I do like to read current, bestseller-type books (along with classics) and find sampling them, ordering and downloading from the Amazon Kindle store (without the need for my computer) is amazing. If I finish a book while in bed late at night I can find, sample and download my next book from the privacy of my own bed...OK, this also satisfies the laziness factor.

Good luck with your decision.

I like the fact that I'm not locked down to one store for DRM'ED content. Notice I said DRM'ED. I don't care to learn how to convert, format-shift, de-drm, etc. The less complicated it is, the better. I want to just put my books on my 505 and start reading.
Fictionwise.com which was recently(?) acquired by Barnes and Noble seems to have a huge quantity of non-DRM ebooks at competitive prices. No whispernet, of course, but they say once you've bought a book, you can redownload it in up to 12 different formats, Sony, Mobi and Kindle included.

I have no axe to grind here but I don't recall seeing Fictionwise mentioned in these forums.

jetBook fit in the front pocket of my jeans (also the back pocket.. but I don’t want to sit on it ). It makes it relatively easy to have it with me where ever I go.

The selling points for my Sony PRS-505 were Adobe Digital Editions, reflow, and EPUB support, allowing me free ebook access at the San Francisco, Alameda, and New York public libraries. Between those libraries, there's more than enough books for me to read.
