and mine has....
arived... it is charging as I type.. oooops take that back... it is now charged.... I am trying to install the Sony software on my lap top... but I think it may not run on this 'puter... it is 64 bit vista and the installer has failed once.. retrying it again... but I am not too hopefull.. may have to go to another system that is runing 32 bit os... well off to another puter... that really sux... as this is my travel 'puter.. mmm maybe install a 32 Bit VM on this box. ... ... but not tonight.. .... any way.. Blueeeeee.. is coool... ....

You can install on 64bit Vista. I have Vista 64. But you may need to download the updated version of software from the site. Sony did not have a 64 bit license until November of this year.

vette.. got it up and running...
rj... thanx for the tip... worked great.. now if only things will slow down enough to do some serious reading..... but so far have greatly enjoyed the BLUE 505... mmm now that I think about it guess I should update profile....  all that have posted the good, the bad and the ugly.. sure made it easy.. well not really ... but easier to make a choice... and for me I am certain I made the right choice...

yeah I was able to get 2 blue prs-505's the last couple of weeks too.
Love it. So for 350 dollars I picked up 2 , the same price it would cost me to buy ONE kindle 2. (1 from borders deal and one from sony card deal). With using calibre and doing batch convert , I changed to epub and 20 font size on my pdf's and txt files, works great. Have fun with your prs-505. Last edited by richman; 07-01-2009 at 01:38 PM. |
