Remember the old nursery rhyme: "I shot an arrow in the air, it fell to earth I know not where"? That is how I feel about timelines. Trying to pin down a date for release is similar to trying to hit a piece of paper in a hurricane with a rubber band after you have been drinking all night.

My favorite poem is by Yeats and it starts with:

"Turning and turning in the widening gyre
The Falcon cannot hear the falconer

It is a very "dark" poem referred to often by Bobby Kennedy in his speeches. Basically this "Vision of Yeat's The Second Coming" relates to how everything seems to start from the center and as it works outward everything falls apart and into disorder as too many things are always impacting at once. That is the nature of eBook Reader manufacturing.

Please use ZULU time!! Not the military time known as "ZULU"; but the actual time as pontificated by Ezwadda Ereadera, the ZULU Chieftain in charge of such matters!! You can tell him as he has thick red marker on his face!!

I remember when you first started posting about the EZ Reader and you mentioned a date and price you guys were hoping for. You were completely clear that this was no promise yet there were still a couple people yelling that you lied to them when things didn't materialize as you'd wished. Most of us are able to easily distinguish between speculation and promise but there'll always be a couple that read in what they want. They're usually the ones that will write nastygrams to your boss, too. Sadly complaints like that probably weigh more heavily in his or her mind even if they're the minority opinion.

I think most people by now know that I honestly try to get them accurate info and schedules. I think most know that working with factories 7,000 miles or more away where I do not speak their language means some misunderstanding and mistakes.

But I also think 99% of the people on the forum know I am honest if I am not always perfect. I do get them answers and I do listen and make changes they want. More than anything else I certainly listen.

I am proud that the product released thus far has been outstanding. Unlike a lot of newbies in consumer electronics, our first effort was excellent and is known for being a great reliable choice still today.

Yes, if people only would recognize (and most do) that I do not make all the decisions but mostly I have been very accurate anyway for such an industry. Things do and will change from time to time. Devices will be announced and then changed or delayed. But, I am still honest about it and in the end people are very happy with their new devices by Astak. THAT is what keeps me going.
