How do you sleep? (semi silly poll)

I don't have those kinds of dreams anymore, unless I find out I'm accidentally on my back again. Too bad, I kind of liked sleeping on my back. Makes me feel like my body is aligned. But "feeling" like your body is aligned vs evil dreams..... yeah, I'll take the fetal position.

I have a few quirks about sleeping too.... my entire body MUST be covered... if it's not, I get freaked out. I hate feet in particular poking out from under covers. I am a good cover sleeper, I don't move around too much and my covers are always where I put them to start. My significant otter is the opposite. It looks like his half's been ransacked when he wakes up. And he shivers and freezes (yes, even here!) and can't seem to figure out how to put the covers ON him. It's bizarre. I don't let him share my covers. He has his own. Oh, and everything must be checked, especially doors and appliances, at least twice before bed.

I haven't tried melatonin... I don't really have problems sleeping usually, just when I sleep on my back, or I'm stressed out. I'm not big on taking any supplements or meds, which doesn't make sense, since I'm big on things like french fries. Ah, the irony...

haha! I have to have at lest one foot out of the covers and if it is at all warm, more likely both! and as far as sharing covers! I fell in love with duvets the first time I was stationed in Germany, and I really don't like sleeping with anything else! I want my own blankies no matter who the other spoon is!

Well, I just tried to look it up again, and many places say there's no connection. But then there is this site. If you google "sleeping on back, nightmares" you'll see a ton of people who think that it's connected, but don't have any research to back it up. One other site I saw thought it might be a type of apnea that was causing it. No sites I found related it to a portal of evil, so I felt better about that.

I saw something on the sleep apnea too, that's what convinced me my problem was sleeping on my back.
I never considered I was opening a portal of evil, I thought it was aliens following me everywhere and doing testing on me when I sleep... maybe I should reconsider...

going to sleep listening to a book on my ipod has solved any sleep-related problems I ever had; I'm starting to buy the kindle versions of my audible books.... makes consuming them multidimensional.

I'm always hovering halfway between foetus and freefall, and that's the way I sleep too.

On my back makes me nauseated (I nearly wrote "nauseous", and thought to myself, hmm, perhaps still accurate ).

well my girlfriend steals them during the day and during the night I'm ussually too hot to use them... weird.. I know.

and whenever she cuddles with me she falls asleep because I'm "just so comfortable" and I'm "like a big teddy bear I can hug and squish and is so warm, hummm"

so that inevitably leaves me laying with her sleeping on me and I'm stuck because most of the time I'm not tired.
