In Australia we only get camels in the zoo. But some people do have alpaccas for the fleece and they're close cousins to the llama aren't they? I've seen alpaccas several times when travelling through rural areas.

) in the hinterland have a few alpacas.

Camel tours are run on Noosa northshore too, and I think the same mob take them to Eumundi Markets for short rides, mostly for kids.
