I'd still ditch it as I hate having to carry around multiple devices.

If I could have something that was a good reader, internet browser, video watcher, music player, calender/address book etc. etc. I'd buy one in a heart beat.

Better to just have that in my backpack or brief case vs. a Kindle, a laptop/netbook, an mp3 player, a palm pilot etc.

As for cost, a all in one device would undoubtedly be cheaper than buying a separate device for all those things.

Just a matter of screen and battery technology improving so someone can put out a device that does all that stuff, has long battery life and a screen that's easy on the eyes for reading.
