I'm not certain if this is my type of book (I'll have to start reading it first), but I do want to thank you for making it available.

I downloaded the epub file and, when opened with Adobe Digital Editions, noticed that the paragraphs are not indented which makes it just a little difficult to read.

I'm wondering if you could change that, as time and/or desire permits.

Again, thank you for your free book.

*You* can change that Don as well.
- Unzip the epub file,
- find file When_Women_W-arriors_Book_I_0.css
in content -> resources directory
- change the file.
Instead of
p {
margin: 0;
text-align: justify
}

put in
p {
margin: 0;
text-align: justify;
text-indent: 3em
}

Please notice you need to add semicolon after the text-align: justify
- Save file
- put changed css file back into the archive
- rename it to .epub and read.

This is why I like [nonDRMed] epub files.

Some of my favorite books have been books I'd originally passed up as "not my kind of thing." Now that I am older and wiser, I'll give any book the first 50 pages. (Which is what hooked me on the Kindle, because of the large free sample.)

There is an easier way, of course. Just import the book in Calibre. Convert ePub to ePub and overwrite Layout with

p {text-indent: whateverrocksyourboat }

That's it! whateverrocksyourboat= percentage or pixels you want your ePub to be indented, 2% for me

just tried on my Mac (Mac OS X 10.5.6, Safari 3.2.1) and although it is clearly .epub on the server, when Safari downloads it it adds a .zip to the end to become ....epub.zip.

Even more weirdly, when I tried downloading an ePub from fictionwise, Safari added a .jar to the end of the filename and extension ....epub.jar

It's obviously some weird interaction between the web server and the browser.

Why not give Firefox a go since Safari seems to be full of odd bugs?

Thanks, MsAnthrope, and thanks to all of you who have downloaded Book I. I really appreciate your posting your feedback, especially if you enjoyed it.

Many of my readers have started out saying that it "isn't my sort of book" only to discover that they liked it anyway and really couldn't define just what "sort of book" it is.

I long ago gave up trying to decide what kind of book I like. Just tell me a good story. That's all I ask.
