I want to buy a Reader and it is cheaper from the UK than from the mainland.

I bought mine earlier this year from Waterstones, shipped to Spain (the only company I could find at the time who would do so).

Had some delivery problems though as the telephone number I provided when ordering was not carried over by either Waterstones or their courier to the package and they were unable to contact me to deliver.

Waterstones were most unhelpful in resolving this.

The prices included UK VAT.

Is it cheaper to order from the UK than from BHphotovideo.com?

From the US I must pay customs, unless someone sends it with a declared value below $100.

The question is whether it is more expensive with custom from the USA or not?

P.S. I would avoid any second hand readers from ebay.
You never know what happened to them, what hands they went through. Maybe just yesterday it fell on the floor and right now it is working but a bit of more pressure when you put it into your backpack after one month of use and ....black lines and broken screen.
I would pay more but buy it from a good retailer. It is a gadget to be used for a long time and a few dozens bucks/eruros will not matter in a long run but the quality is important.

With customs it is more expensive and a lot of trouble.

According to my research only Waterstones does international shipping. All the other mentioned sites ship to UK only.
