also what font are you using now muse?
Okay thanks. I thought there was something wrong with it too..
A core 2 duo t7100 @ 1.8ghz ain't that slow..

This is weird, my previous book was Times New Roman, the one I am viewing one is Times New Roman in ITALIC.
No joke, and it looks better.
The spacings between words are much wider than my first book. Both books are in PDF so I cannot be sure about its formatting.
But I am sure both of them are Times and Times is not suitable for low dpi screens!

I've now had success with True-type flavored OTF fonts, and straight true-type fonts. I think I may also have had success with Postscript flavored OTF fonts (not sure at the moment, because the reader is downstairs & I'm upstairs and too lazy to go get it). I haven't tried straight Postscript fonts yet.
How did you do it?

The average monitor is 72 - 100dpi. Which means the device has a higher resolution than the average screen. However, slightly lower resolution than the average book (@ 85lpi/600dpi). If you are accustomed to reading from a digital medium - which you seem to be somewhat computer knowledgeable - reading any serif font is going to be weird (as at least 95% of fonts used on computers by default are sans). However, the reverse is also true (see previous sans vs. serif discussion).

Cheers,
Josh
