Oh please don't start that again. It is obvious that the OP meant a device and not an ereader formated ebook file.

rhari79-san, are you in Tokyo? I want to go and see the Fujitsu tomorrow (if you can make it) and you can take a look at my PRS-700 and buy it from me if you want .

Well... It does look odd to see someone asking for eReader to be shipped since it's a simple download.

But seriously, it's in the thread topic. And besides, when someone is unsure of what format to get and they go to Fictionwise, eReader is what's recommended. And that can and has lead to some purchasing eReader by mistake. So if we tell everyone that the term eReader is being used incorrectly here, it will lead to less purchasing mistakes/waste of money.

dragonbone-san, after your comment about waiters should i even consider the device...
the flepia does look good. But after seeing the demo video(flepia-iliads in fujiya restaurant), i will choose to wait. Also i think its a little too costly.
I could get a very decent laptop at that price. I guess a Dell XPS 13' one is available for something around 90K yens..

However i am also considering a new addition to Amazon..PRS-505S. This is still under preorder. It seems the German release version will be shipped to japan by amazon. I did a test shopping cart entry and found that the device will be shipped by 1st week of April.

Hey, i will be interested in a sell offer(in yen cash) for the PRS-700..

But i am still pining for an iliad (or iliad type..extensible and large screen but stable) device.
But wouldnt mind owning 2...from pauper to prince..

Would you not still have to pay import duties on it even if it were brought into the country by hand?

Well,

1. Incoming travellers can bring 25k of brand new stuff for free (~500$) + A laptop (or was that 2?, I forget) as well.
Anything above that amount requires you to pay duty.
2. Of course, if you get rid of the packaging and stuff, you can always carry it in as a personal piece. This is more of a case by case thing. The occasional camera/ipod and stuff they really dont bother with so long as you just stuff it in your carry-on , unless and until you are really really loaded with stuff :P
