You would need to contact Amazon to see if you can get a set of clips.

My guess is they'll sell one to you... for $29.99

I ordered one of the M-Edge cases with the clips, don't care for the Amazon case because I find that black is blah. YMMV

I have the M-edge with the clips and I don't care for it. The clips are fine, but the case is too big and looks sloppy. I would love it if Amazon would offer a premium case with better leather, and a selection of colors. I would buy several.

Look at the M-Edge Prodigy cover, it uses the hinge thingy that the Amazon cover uses.

That's the one I meant in my last post above yours.

That's the one I have. It is too big and sloppy looking. There is about an extra inch near the spine, which seems excessive even if you have the light. It causes the spine to flatten out and get pointy. There are wrinkles from where I have folded it back to read. I have had it less than 24 hours and it looks used. I am back to the Amazon cover, and wishing they would offer colors and better leather in a premium edition. If Amazon doesn't I am hoping Noreve will use the clip system. They are coming out with an Amazon 2 cover at the end of the month. I loved their covers for the Kindle 1.

Dozens of other people have made comments similar to mine on Amazon. The toxic smell doesn't come from the leather. It comes either from plastic on which the leather is mounted or, more likely, the glue that holds it together.

I do suspect that there are batches of Amazon Kindle covers that do not smell and batches that do.

Mine smelled absolutely horrible, but because I liked the feeling of the extra weight of the K2 with the cover, I spent my first night reading with it on held as far away from my nose as possible. When I finished reading and tried to go to sleep I noticed that my fingers reeked! I washed my hands and got back into bed only to realize that the stench also permeated the sheets and blankets on my bed. I had to change all of my bed linens before going to bed.

I should note: I do not have an overly sensitive nose.

So, if you are considering buying the Amazon Kindle2 Cover, just know that you may very well wend up with one that smells horrible.

PS I give honest reviews. When I have enjoyed a product or service, I am the first to sing the praises of those responsible. But when I say a thing stinks. I mean it stinks!

I have a really sensitive sense of smell and after the first few days of the cover being out of the box, the smell has pretty well dissipated. You might have a bad copy.

Yea, just hang it out on your clothes line and let it air out.

That smell goes away in about 2 days. It did on mine and with my husband's case it never smelled at all so it really just depends. I really like the amazon case. M-edge cases seem to bulky and heavy and I hope when noreve comes out with some cases at the end of the month that they will add hinges. They have some great color choices.

thanks for everyone's advice...was planning on getting the standard Amazon cover because of the hinges then noticed that M-Edge has one with hinges but then based on what Devon said I think it's going to be too bulky for my liking...so will go for the original and hope it doesn't smell and if it does, will air it out in the sun for a bit (hopefully that'll help) and if all fails, cannibalize it for the hinges and make my own lol

I am returning my m-edge prodigy because it is too wide, as previously mentioned. Also, the right side keeps falling out of the corners. The device has then lifted up from the back of the cover and bent the hinges. Those hinges are chintzy and I have already decided not to get hinges again. I went to the leather shop today and got materials to make my own. I'll use velcro to secure it.

I thought only mine was smelling. Just leave it outside a couple of hours and the smell disappears.
