I love Monterrey! I wanted to live there for a while. I try to get up there every year or two. Tres jealous.

Fruits 'n Nuts are good for you.

California? Isn't that where all the raisins come from? (Why is Solyent Green going through my mind at the moment?) Can you make Eccles Cakes with raisins? Or Garibaldi Biscuits?

What do you mean, this isn't the question everything thread?

I lived in Texas for four years while in the AF. It was no more aggravating than living anywhere else. There were amusing bits, too, when you'd get the Texas "attitude" going with someone. Most everyone that i met there was more than willing to give and take with a "damnyankee" all in good fun.

I love California, too. Never had a bad visit there.

I didn't know that the SCOTUS had ruled Texans to be human, though. I'm thinking Nobby, right now...

Oh, Monterrey is not "Central" California. I thought you meant somewhere in the San Joaquin Valley. You are going to a GREAT place!! Lucky you.

Actually, on the whole, California is a rather conservative state. There are liberal pockets, mostly in the urban areas ... although San Diego is not one of them ... very conservative there.

Man, I wish I'd moved to the part of Texas where you were. Way too many complete idiots in this part of Texas.

Oh! I thought I had seen it referred to as part of Central California in one of the web pages I read. I know it is going to be very beautiful. It's also going to be terribly far from the slopes!

Nah we really like our texans, don't confuse taunts as hate, as a matter of fact you should consider them more as "affectionate" taunts.

Isn't California the bit that is likely to fall off into the Pacific at some stage ?

Right! That is why we have more claim than Texas for becoming our own country. (Sorry Sir Edwards that one was just for your ... with affection of course )

My mistake; it's the peninsula itself which seems to be heading NNW'd, and hence into the noggin ?
