Possibly an issue with the OS used? MacOS vs. Windows vs Linux's multiple display technologies.

epubveri for calibre 0.4.3 — https://github.com/veripublica/epubv...calibre-v0.4.3
Fixed — thiago.eec, #30: choosing "Always light" or "Always dark" turned the panel and the rows but left the column headings and the scroll bar in calibre's own theme. Both follow the setting now, in the panel's own two colours. DNSB, #31 — a fair guess, but it was not the OS. A Qt style sheet is applied by selector, and ours named only the tree, so the headings and the scroll bar — separate widgets — never heard about the setting. Checked against calibre's own Qt by rendering the panel and reading the pixels back: the headings had been wrong on macOS as well, from the day the setting shipped. My note in the source blaming Windows was wrong too. New — a new plugin icon. The old one measured 2.00:1 against a dark editor background, and no single colour can clear 3:1 against both a mid grey and a black ground. A pair does: ink on light backgrounds, yellow on dark ones, 6.71:1 at worst across the five I measured. Nothing else changed. The zip and its checksums are on the release page. Install with Preferences → Plugins → Load plugin from file. |

epubveri for calibre 0.4.4 — https://github.com/veripublica/epubv...calibre-v0.4.4
One sentence changed, and no behaviour did. It is worth a post only because of why. The plugin's description now mentions its companion. There is a second plugin, epubveri library, which checks a whole calibre library at once and reports which defects recur across it rather than what is wrong with one book. Until today the two sat under the same heading in Preferences → Plugins, because the library one declared itself an Edit book tool in order to be listed next to this one. It has stopped doing that — it is a library-side plugin and is now filed as one, which is correct and was settled in its own thread. The consequence lands here: the two entries are no longer adjacent, so someone who installs this plugin and never goes looking would have no way to learn the other exists. This one came first and is the more widely installed of the two, and a large library is exactly the case the other was written for. So the cross-reference, which used to run one way only, runs both ways now. That is the whole release. No behaviour, no settings, no new permissions — if you are happy on 0.4.3 there is nothing here you need. |

Please move the posts in this thread to a new one
@Kayadelenium please create your own plugin thread and ask a mod to link it to the official plugin list. This will allow you to upload updated plugins which will be automatically distributed via Calibre.
@Comfy.n or @BetterRed AFAIK it's not possible to transfer ownership of threads but mods can move posts to other threads. Once Kayadelenium has created his own Calibre epubveri thread please move posts #15 and higher to his own thread and hide posts 1 to 14. Last edited by Doitsu; Today at 01:07 PM. |
