For me, BeckyEbook's patch seems to be a good way forward. It allows me to run Mend & Prettify to fix missing !DOCTYPE and ?xml lines while forcing me to fix more serious errors manually.

Okay, I have not renamed anything yet (as the names have been there for a long time) but I did apply BeckyEbook's pret.patch to force the SafePrettyPrinting to use IsGumboWellFormed to determine if pretty printing is safe enough.
This change will appear in the next release of Sigil. Do we really need to rename "Mend and Prettify" to just "Prettify" since both mend and prettify by their very nature will be done based on a gumbo parsed DOM tree? Or can we live with the current name "Mend and Prettify"? Thoughts? |

I vote for not changing the established names.

Sounds good. We will leave it as "Mend and Prettify".
