In theory yes, in practice you are more likely to stop using the device for other reasons, like the battery giving in, or damaging the screen… and even if you were to fix those things, assuming you fill up to stop it from updating and after jb you just continue to use the device normally, I’ll probably be decades (under normal circumstances) before that becomes a real issue.
