Inability to Center Text in EPUBs

I'm guessing the problem is the LibreOffice conversion; try using Calibre to convert the epub again. You could also try updating to epub 3 in Calibre's POLISH right-click menu option.

If no joy, try first converting the file to azw3 then back again to epub (again using Calibre.)

The final option is to use Calibre to fix errors in the file: From the right-click menu, select EDIT BOOK. On the top right-side of the following window, there will be an option to check the book for errors; choose that. After awhile, a list of errors will appear with the option to fix them automatically. Choose to do that. IME, Calibre's editor doesn't fix many CSS errors but it fixes some and it'll at least tell you where the problem is.

Usually, just converting the file in Calibre will fix problems like this, without editng.

I did what you suggested and it worked. Saving it as a DOCX file and converting it to EPUB alone did not work. Before converting it to EPUB I had to go into the DOCX file and replace all of the custom paragraph styles I was using with the default styles, such as Body Text, Heading 1, Heading 2 and so on. Once I did that the resulting EPUB worked perfectly.
