This is confusing to me since the end-of-life update for Voyage is 5.13.6, which is numerically later than 5.12.2.2. Amazon skipped adding the code to 5.13.6?

(I'm still on 5.8.11 on my Voyage because I put an empty update.bin.tmp.partial file on it, which still works on that version to block OTA updates.)

I think 5.12.2.2 was "special" and only went tp a few models.

Yes. It was an end-of-life update delivered after a long pause to only two Kindle models, possibly as a test case for the new DRM updating process which was activated earlier this year. At the time of its release other Kindles were already in the 5.14 range of firmware versions.

The Kindle 7th Gen and the Paperwhite 6th Gen are the only Kindles that have 5.12.2 as their latest firmware.

Oh, how fascinating! Thank you. My Voyage is even more precious than I thought! We'll see how long 5.8.11 continues to work, and if something after 5.13.6 gets released
