User plugin doesn't appear
Quote:
Successfully initialized third party plugins: Italic spans to I (0, 5, 0) where "Italic spans to I" is my plugin. But no "Italic spans to I" button appears in any toolbars, nor in Calibre main, neither in Calibre-editor. Why ? And, have I to ask this question in the forum Plugin section ? You have to install it first with calibre (the main interface), It must be in a form of a zip file,
Button Prefs, section "Advanced", Plugin, button "Load plugin from file". Restart Calibre. Then you'll be able to put it in a toolbar of the editor, |

But no way, in Calibre main neither in Calibre-editor, to discover it anywhere, even when I try to add it to some toolbar. Last edited by jjk; Yesterday at 08:11 AM. |

Maybe it goes in error at starting, after the rough initialization. Try to start calibre or editor in a terminal and see the output. You can also put some debug msgs in your plugin (a print() will be shown in the terminal output) to see if it loads completely, or where it aborts if it's the case.
Well, I won't learn you how to debug, I suppose you already know all that. A tip : if you change your code, no need to reinstall the plugin, just update the zip and restart calibre or editor. |
