I'm a bit indifferent about buttons or touch screen for turning pages, but I do dislike extra thickness that is required for touch screen panel. Along with backlight thickness it amounts for considerable space between e-ink panel and top layer of plastic of the screen. Shame that there's practically no product that would take away both touch panel and backlight. Only exception are old readers and a few modern budget readers.

The T1 had the best buttons ever. They were under the screen so they were the easiest to ignore. |

The first version of it has an SD slot under a door. But I think the Libra and Libra 2 are better. Sadly also gone. Individuals may not find this true because the quality of eink screens and the light pipe layer isn't consistent even for the same model, unlike other display technologies. |

Because he obviously has permission and immunity from moderator actions so he's able to keep posting on MobileRead no matter how much he keeps hijacking and derailing conversations throughout this forum for years and years now.

That said, and I’m not referring specifically to this particular situation, you can have no idea. You only see what you can see. Matters that have been dealt with are gone. |

I know you don’t care because you obviously know everything about everything, but some people have problems with touchscreens. My husband has circulation problems in his hands and has a terrible time with them. He reads just fine on my Nooks. Sometimes I have to open the book for him.

Given that even with page turn buttons there are issues navigating the rest of the interface, you might consider getting a capacitative stylus (perhaps with an ergonomic holder) so that he can operate it without your help. My wife had severe hand issues due to RA damage and using a stylus really helped her operate her smartphone.

pugs don't have fingers, so maybe he just can't press them and that is simply the reason why he hates them so much. I have also been told he hates the postman for some unknown reason.
