Hi everyone,

I recently purchased a new Kindle Paperwhite (12th gen) to upgrade from my old 10th gen model, as I wanted the benefits of USB-C and a night light.

However, I discovered that I can no longer transfer books to it using Calibre, as I did with my old device, due to the MTP protocol.

I've read that Calibre should be compatible with the PW 12th gen, but my computer (running Fedora with Flatpak Calibre) isn't detecting it.

Are there any workarounds for this issue?

I'd suggest posting in the calibre forum here.

The main issue with MTP on MacOS and Linux computers is that you can only have one program accessing it. You will have to make sure that whatever daemon mounts your MTP device on Linux is not running if you want to connect to calibre on your Linux box.
