I prefer epub, so I import it into calibre, and convert. Any cleaning up I do with Sigil.

Reading on the iPhone isn't TERRIBLE. But it's not great. Especially when compared to any of the Kindles.

I was discussing it with someone who then running around madly arm-waving about how it's a gross violation of fanfiction writers' intent to have their works available in ebook friendly format. The mouth-frothing made me desist from offering my own help ![]() |

I already use my touch with Stanza, because of the wonderful "night" theme (white character on black- but you can customize it to any colour you want). Not a terrible experience (in fact if I begin to have a migraine I use this method for reading). Now, on the other hand, having an app per book on the menu would drive me berserk- Stanza is neat and compact, runs its collections on its own and won't suffocate your desktop(s) with icons.

Now you've got me thinking about how to make it easy to feedback from an ebook! An e-mail address at the start and end of the story, in the metadata, a reminder at the end of it -- i.e. I have Amalthia's formatted ebook of Resonant's Transfigurations and there's an e-mail address at the end of it, handily. :shifty look: Which reminds me to feedback, now... |
