I'll give my Libra 2 a test with the buttons. I have it set for a 20 minute sleep time.

Page turns depend on the OPF and NCX matching the book (Edits and resending do not update anything except the book.) Use Kobo utilities to force a New TOC and or Metadata into the DB |

The double page turn glitches are unusual. I would have thought if there's that sort of mismatch they would be more common. In any event, have you (or others) had them stop after using KU to force a new TOC or metadata? |

I've seen this several times. Most of the times just after I did transfer (via calibe) a book and then left the USB-C connection plugged-in in order to charge. After a few minutes the KLC starts rebooting.

Does the page-turning issue also happen when swiping, or only with the buttons? I don't see anyone brought up the suggestion that the button itself might be a bit dodgy.

I would have thought a dodgy button might miss some page turns, but missing and then causing a double page turn would be a weird variety of dodgy. |

An older mouse of mine had similar behaviour when the switch wore out.

Re opening this thread, to know if someone has a tip for the page skipping issue.
I used to have an Aura, then Clara 2E, that I unfortunately lost. I now own a clara BW, but I figured out that the touch screen regularly does not react, and when touched again (even after a minute or so), then two pages are skipped. I sent it back and received a new one from my reseller, but the new one has exactly the same issue. turning to the internet, I could see that this is not an isolated case (for example: https://www.reddit.com/r/kobo/commen...rward_2_pages/). In other words, I could only figure it out with the last generation of Kobo. The tech support suggest to reset and/or a replacement... Errr, I already had a replacement, this cannot really help. Is there any way you know of to overcome it? This is infuriating, and without a solution soon, I will have to change to another e-reader brand, which would be a pity. |

This happens on my Libra 2 when the epub contains *.html files that are too large. If you use Calibre you can use its edit book function to check the epub. It will give a warning about large file sizes. For me, there is a lag when turning the page to the next chapter, and thus the next html file, which is too large. I press the page turn button once and wait. The next chapter page loads after a short time. If I press again before it loads, the Libra 2 turns the page, creating the impression it has skipped the first page.
The solution is to split the html files or just wait a bit longer for the page to load. Waiting is easier for me. I've learned to first suspect a bad epub whenever something seems to be going wrong. |
