There were also loads of HD Ready TVs sold with NO digital tuner, only an analogue tuner. I have a 1440 x 900 wide screen Beko which has HDMI in and only an analogue tuner. It doesn't downscale 1920 x 1080 at all. Just crops it! That's not too bad for cable/satellite/aerial setbox, but useless for 1920 x 1080 from a PC or console. However the Raspberry Pi 4B can do 1440 x 900 and all the setboxes can do rescalling of SD 576 and HD 1080 to 720 if you don't want cropped.

Are there any decent reviews of the Kobo Clara BW yet?

The Colour versions are taking up all the spotlight and I would like to see how the Carta 1300 stacks up.
