KUAL is broken on firmware 5.19.4+ right now. Might be worth keeping an eye on that status and/or making it so this can be launched via scriptlet.

Are booklets working on 5.19.4+? I was thinking about going that route soon.

They're about the only thing that works since Amazon changed something about Java that broke KUAL.

Okay. I'll implement it ASAP. The reason my deploy package is in tar.gz is because of all of the icon files I need to prune out. If anyone had to transfer a folder to their Kindle with 2000+ tiny file sized icon files, it would take forever. Trust me, I've done it so many times in testing. You can extract that .tar.gz in the meantime and take a look around. The problem about launching the abiword binary or launch.sh from kterm is that Abiword won't get keyboard control. Everything you type ends up in kterm that way.

Can you try this? Extract and drag the two files into your documents folder. Eject your Kindle. Select the Abiword icon, and then wait for it to install, then wait some more. When it's done you click the Abiword icon again and it will launch. Be patient. Same thing with the Kaul installer, it takes some time to launch the first time. I got it to work, but it's not extensively tested.

Edit: I can type and the document folders were successfully made. Should be good.

Edit2: Fixing icon. The resolution was too high making things sluggish.
