No, there isn't any way to do that out of the box. But you can get a partial solution by keeping one fake book that has all authors in the custom column. THen completion for that custom column will include all author names, because they exist in that one book.

Thanks. I rather gathered you were going to say that as you usually have already included all possible options

That way is high maintenance as it needs updates every new Author.

Hi! Is there a way in Calibre to search for books that have a defined number (or more than that number) of authors (e.g. authors_count:4 OR >4)?

It's in the manual under searches
BTW 4 is greater than 3, so no second search term needed
