When it comes to food, I don't worry too much about what folks think things should, or shouldn't, be called (or what "belongs" in certain dishes). Definitions are not static. So I'll not be changing my habit of referring to any hot grain glop in a bowl as "porridge."

Do you read slower while eating your breakfast of choice? A rather pathetic attempt at seeming to be on topic...

I sometimes like to sit and imagine the world a fiction writer is painting rather than rush on through the prose. Though I tend towards Epic Fantasy where authors are rather taken with descriptive writing.

Can I do that and speed along through? Sure. But it’s a different experience. And I’ve found I rather enjoy the slower of the two.

I do, but I think it takes less time than than doing the same amount of each serially, and it increases enjoyment.

Similar to bicycling sometimes taking longer than the same trip by automobile, but less total time than motoring plus getting equivalent exercise otherwise. Definitely a win-win when the trip is quicker by bicycle.
