Yes they did. I know because they had all been downlosded to my PC, using the "transfer via USB" option, and could not be stripped "Kindle DRM unable to remove" or words to that effect. The epubor error message then said "open these book in K4PC, drag and drop" I did, and it worked - books that epubor strips have "_nodrm" appended to their titles. If the original file is already DRM free, that suffix is not added (I also use epubor format conversions of already stripped files).

A car will drive just fine if it's manual or automatic transmission. I pay extra for automatic because I can and I have a better experience. I don't welcome your rude judgments.

And although voluntary, it's not unknown for Calibre users to give donations to it's creator.

The person to whom you replied posts on a pattern here at MR: "I am always right in everything, anyone who disagrees at all or does things in any way differently is ipso facto wrong"

And as you've noted, they're not at all reluctant to express that view with a side order of ad hominem slurs.

I buy from Kindle so infrequently that I forgot about making sure my K4PC was kept at the recommended older version, but Epubor has de-drm'd the several purchases I've made in the last 2 months despite that. Which has made the purchase worthwhile, if it's done something the source plugin doesn't/can't.
It could be that the key you obtained from the earlier version of KindleforPC is the same for the newer version.

Had the device 4 months now. Most of the glitches are gone. I guess i had to give it time for all the updates to install.

I stopped printing nearly 8 years ago when got eink (Kindle). Kobo H2O was big step forward.
Now with Sage I've virtually stopped making paper notes. Now learning to abandon post-it notes.

Calibre is invaluable, as is keeping an old Kindle for the account.

Have you found a way of getting the Notes *out of* the Sage without using Calibre/SQL, though? I don't have the Sage with me at all times, so the note-taking features are of limited value to me if they only exist on the Sage. I'd like to write a note on my Sage and then be able to pull it up later on my phone.

There are five kinds of notes on the Sage.
Text annotations of eBooks can be exported by adding to the config file so the book context menu has Export. But Calibre & Kobo Utilities is free (Mac Liinux, Windows) and if you have more than 100 ebooks very important.

Basic Notebooks and Advanced Notebooks have multiple on device export options and even the Nebo files can be copied via USB.

Annotation/Scribing/drawing on a PDF with Stylus. Seems to add a layer to PDF. Just copy PDF.

Then there are StickyNote/Post-it style notes made by stylus on an eBook without text conversion. I don't see the point of those so never investigated how to copy them off.
